Skyworks Solutions Reports 2018 Q1

For those who still follow/own it. From the press release:

“Skyworks exceeded $1 billion in quarterly revenue and achieved $2.00 per share in non-GAAP diluted EPS in Q1 FY18 driven by strong global demand for our wireless communications engines,” said Liam K. Griffin, president and chief executive officer of Skyworks. “As connectivity performance requirements intensify, Skyworks is leveraging our mixed signal expertise, scale and customer relationships to power the mobile economy and capitalize on several strategic growth catalysts. Our system solutions are enabling everything from industrial robotics to drones, autonomous vehicles, wireless infrastructure, home security systems and virtual assistants. Further, with the recent launch of our breakthrough Sky5™ platform, Skyworks is well positioned to accelerate 5G deployments and, ultimately, to extend our competitive advantage.”

Here’s a look at the numbers I track:

Revenues (millions) Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4
2013 453.7 425.2 436.1 477.0
2014 505.2 481.0 587.0 718.2
2015 805.5 762.1 810.0 880.8
2016 926.8 775.1 751.7 835.4
2017 914.3 851.7 900.8 984.6
2018 1,051.9

EPS (non-GAAP) Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4
2013 0.55 0.48 0.54 0.64
2014 0.67 0.62 0.83 1.12
2015 1.26 1.15 1.34 1.52
2016 1.60 1.25 1.24 1.47
2017 1.61 1.45 1.57 1.82
2018 2.00

Operating Margin (non-GAAP)	Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4
2016 36.8 36.5 38.1
2017 38.8 36.7 37.0 38.5
2018 39.4

2018 Q1 Earnings (Current):

Revenue Growth (millions)
2017 Q1 TTM Revenue = 3,276.5
2018 Q1 TTM Revenue = 3,789
YOY TTM Revenue Growth = 15.6%, previous quarter 11%

EPS Growth (non-GAAP)
2017 Q1 TTM Earnings = 5.57
2018 Q1 TTM Earnings = 6.84
YOY TTM EPS Growth = 22.8%, previous quarter 16%

Non-GAAP P/E (Check Current Price) = 94.69/6.84 = 13.84

1YPEG = 13.84/22.8 = 0.61

So accelerating revenue and earnings, growing operating margin, guidance is good (+10% earnings for Q2) but not great. P/E ratio looks real good here IMHO.

Matt,
Besides SWKS being a great value stock with positive growth low PEG. The metric I watch like a hawk is margin, which remains at a very healthy 39.4% Nice bit of news, eh?

Thanks.

Best,
