Tomas Novotny, an analyst who follows the LNG shipping sector posted a review of the LNG shipping sector. The article details how the LNG shipping sector bounced around in 2024, ranks the top 10 performing companies from an “LNG shipping index”, UPI.
The article also delves deeper into the top three performing names (EE, DLNG, GLNG), and the bottom three performers (NFE, Awilco, CLCO). Some smaller nuances. I do have issues with referring to GLNG as an LNG shipping company. I think it is also a stretch to refer to Exmar as an LNG shipping company (owns over 40 vessels, including one FSRU and one LNG tanker).
Unlike many analysts, at least Mr Novotny has a stake in some of the companies he discusses. IIRC, Flex (FLNG) management awarded him a beanie for asking a good question during an earnings call.
