What the small cities don’t understand is that light rail removes traffic from the auto lanes and reduces commute time for the wealthier folk in the ‘small cities’ who are driving their cars across the bridge. You’d think they would have learned this after the project got canceled 15 years ago on concerns that the handful of black people who live in Portland will be riding the “crime train” across the River to rob and rape them.
I say, 'Give them what they voted for – good and hard", and let them stew in the hot sun in stalled rush hour traffic for another 15 years.
