# A "big dog" provides a status

A few years ago now, Maersk gave up the title of largest container shipping company to Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC). Maersk is still a very large container shipping company.

A November report from Maersk. Not sure if this type of report comes out on a regular basis. It is the first time I am seeing a report summary which covers the breadth of Maersk operations. Port activity and logistics are obvious. But, other aspects e.g. enhancement in various customs services systems or payment methods make for an interesting read.
