Absolutely, totally OT: Happy 70th to me!

Celebrated my 70th birthday by doing a handstand. This proves that I’m not a little old lady since little old ladies don’t do handstands, right? ;- )
TMF won’t let me post the video, though.
I’ve been on TMF for about 20 years. Won the Feste Award in 2009 but the new board format doesn’t show it.

Congratulations. I would challenge most teenagers to be able to do a handstand!

Lewis Carroll has got you covered

“You are old, Father William,” the young man said,
“And your hair has become very white;
And yet you incessantly stand on your head—
Do you think, at your age, it is right?”

“In my youth,” Father William replied to his son,
"I feared it might injure the brain;
But now that I’m perfectly sure I have none,
Why, I do it again and again.

… and so on.

Happy Birthday Wendy

The Stooges have something to say about this.

Welcome to septuagenarianism. No more jury duty, unless you really want to.

Happy Birthday Wendy!

Enjoy your handstands while you are still nimble enough to do them. It is also a better way to view a stock holding that isn’t doing too well :wink:

Happy Birthday Wendy, the years do fly by, at 82, I look around, see how old family, friends are, pretty amazing as we ten to think of ourselves as maybe 40s, or 50s, never aging, but reality is tougher on us… Enjoy!!

In my state, after you reach 70 and your driver license is up for renewal, you have to renew in person at DMV, AND pass the written test again.

@blacktreechaser that’s a good idea. I renewed my license last month at the DMV at age 69. I did have to take a vision test but not a written test.
