Except, 2001 (9/11), the forward performance of SP 500, is great. While many “value/ fundamental investors” will continue to view the markets as overvalued… this stats should give pause to mere mortals. This tells you not to get out of the market. If you are too worried raise some cash, or buy some hedges, but stay in the market.

I agree. The future looks promising. You can probably continue to do well if you pick stocks carefully.

A problem with the S&P 500 is it is heavily loaded with tech stocks. We hope AI continues to prosper. Clearly AI spending continues to be strong. We hope profits arrive on schedule.

The down leg of the K-shaped recovery continues to be a concern. So far the up leg carries the economy overcoming weakness. Inflation, high oil/fuel prices, rising interest rates. It looks like recovery of the down leg will be delayed. How bad will it get. Will we have recession?

Keep an eye on those stocks. Ready to sell if the market turns against you? Or buy more at the bottom?

There is always something to worry about. Having said that, they are real concerns, so you can get a short-term sell-off. Who knows.
