Administration is asking tech companies and banks that facilitate financial transactions to voluntarily clamp down on this activity, but I suspect the money they’re making off it is too sweet. Private Equity likely a big investor.

This should not be voluntary.
No, it should not, but inevitably it must be because the AI cats are out of their bags. The only solution is (take a deep breath) the regeneration of a potent morally integrative society. Good luck with that.

Self policing needs to end. It is a horrible practice.
AI is half failure. AI projects are over 70% or 80% failures. Those are the smaller efforts that in part are redundant.
We need to stop having progress at any cost. It is costing us more than it is worth. Mankind is not responsible people. LOL
Now we are talking allowing criminal activity to have progress. Why not join a gang?
