There used to be 3 Dollar-Tree stores within a 3-mile radius of my home. Now the closest one remaining is in a poor neighborhood further away.
When Dollar Tree jacked prices to $1.25 a while back, I noticed that TEMU was often selling the same stuff for 25 cents with free shipping from China. I bought an exterior light for the front door on TEMU for $10 that was much better quality than the $40 plus light fixtures being sold by Home Depot and Lowes.
Also interesting that TEMU now has a captive shipper “UniUni”, so they’re cutting UPS, Fedex and the US Post Office out of the revenue stream too.
It won’t be long before they’re selling a Tesla Model Y knock-off for $15,000.
