So, I was flipping through the cable channels and an “AMD R3” laptop caught my eye. I thought: what the hell is the R3? Shortly later they mentioned that the R stands for Ryzen!

The specs are the typical low level stuff on QVC, but at least it’s an AMD chip!
AMD Ryzen 3 5300U quad-core processor with 4MB L3 cache, up to 3.8GHz
15.6" diagonal HD micro-edge Brightview touchscreen display with 1366x768 resolution
8GB DDR4-3200 RAM
512GB PCle NVMe M.2 solid-state drive
Wi-Fi 6
It’s also overpriced at $700!

1366x768 resolution and $700?
What the hell? They still make screens with that resolution? I imagined those were basically unsellable at this point. Unless you want something for seniors who can’t read small text anyway.
If HP has found a way to unload systems with those kind of specs at a high price then maybe I should own HP

The typical QVC shopper is very likely to be older and less tech savvy. Who else would be watching QVC?
Plus, the tech “experts” they employ to hype the products are often less than completely honest in their representations of how great - or not - the stuff they’re selling is!
