Amazon strikes $3.5 bln deal for One Medical in long march into U.S. healthcare

Amazon offered Amazon Care, a while back, and Haven was partnership with Berkshire Hathaway and JP Morgan.
Now Amazon on Thursday agreed to buy primary care provider One Medical (ONEM.O) for $3.49 billion, expanding the e-commerce giant’s virtual healthcare and adding brick-and-mortar doctors’ offices for the first time.
Amazon now has Amazon Care, an online service, Pillpack for prescription drug delivery, and One Medical.
I remain hopeful that a viable AI assisted app based option to the standard American healthcare industry will emerge.
Maybe a partnership between Amazon and Apple Health?
