Some twenty years ago, there was a huge flap about a contract the Federal government let to KBR to be ready to build large detention camps, officially for “an immigration emergency, or other purposes”.
Item from the New York Times on the wire tonight, about a “though leader” proposing programs, in the title of the article " Sweeping Raids, Giant Camps and Mass Deportations"
The article says the detention camps will be built by the military, under contract to DHS. I don’t know if KBR still has a contract with DHS, or whether the army would subcontract the job to KBR, or some other worthy of such Federal largess.
Tonight’s NYT article names names that cannot be named, but Mr Google can probably find it for those interested.
