I don’t think the markets even cared about India attacking few terrorist camps. Pakistan under normal circumstances would have made some minor noise and moved on. With China and Turkey providing shadow support, it lasted for few days. The ceasefire deal has nothing to do with US or Trump. But never underestimate Trump’s ability to take credit for anything that is perceived as “good” whether he has anything to do with it or not.

Hasn’t the market already moved last week? Everyone have known that the 145% cannot last. Trump ‘flinched’ and said 80% on Friday. Isn’t all that already more than priced in?
If they go down to 60%, that will still be too high and definitely disappoint the market. Only if they can take out that nonsense and return to a 0% tariff might the market be surprised. Maybe not 0% but 10% could still be a great win for Trump.
Of course for all involved the damage has already been done. But he will win even if he has to take off the 20% tariffs he put forth just in February.
That is the art of the deal in action!

The S&P was down on Friday. It could be priced in but we don’t even know what the agreement is. If it is like England then we are not going to see a bump at all.
I am not expecting any deal. All I am seeing is they are going to agree to continue to negotiate and in the interim, some relief. No long term or permanent deal. I doubt China is going to agree anything so quick unless it is near rollback of all the tariff. But I doubt Trump is going to 10% tariff with China.
We will see the details on Monday morning. In the meantime Future are up 1.5%

Right he set the stage with England too. Did you see that Press release? Every serious person was just laughing because they could see right through it. That is the whole problem with all of this, you do not know if any substance is involved at all or if he is just trying to move the markets. We could be up and then tomorrow in the afternoon we could be down. I have never seen a President manipulate the markets like this.

I hear you… It seems like the administration is manipulating the market. So my only takeaway from that is, there is Trump Put. There is a point at which Trump will step in to boost the market. That’s why I think $485 may not be retested or breached. Of course if things change I change my mind.

How tariffs are making the border safe?
Diversity is not wrong, it should be celebrated. Today, those who are fighting against DEI wants you to believe Sundar Pichai, to Aravind Srinivasan are DEI candidates. I am sure you don’t subscribe to that. But when they talk about DEI, it is not just black generals, but includes every non-white race. Do you seriously believe, that knowledge is a monopoly of caucasians. Students protesting in college is something that college can deal with it. As long as there is no violence, peaceful protest is a right given by the constitution. I don’t like/ support terrorism, but, if you suppress democratic ways to disagree, it will lead to other undesirable things including terrorism.
