Hours before the jury was set to begin deliberating on Monday, news of an attempted bribe rocked the case. On Sunday night, a Somali woman left a bag with $120,000 cash at the doorstep of one of the jurors and told the family member who answered the door that there would be more money after the juror voted “not guilty,” according to a search warrant affidavit.

Abdiaziz Farah was in the news a couple of years ago

Federal authorities confiscated his original passport in January 2022, when they raided his Savage home, and found out last week that he had allegedly obtained a new one…He was charged May 20 in federal court with passport fraud.

Not a surprise. That’s likely a big part of how business is done there.

In Somalia or Minnesota? :slightly_smiling_face:

In Shiny-land, of course. Did you hear the recent claims of witness tampering, with promises of promotions, gifts, and money, for saying the right thing on the stand?

Are you talking about the ProPublica report?

Not surprising, we’re living in bizarro world where everything goes.

Witness tampering is a long standing tradition in Shiny-land. Didn’t Jimmy Hoffa go to the slammer for witness tampering? Ironic, isn’t it, that Jimmy was safer in prison than he was on the streets of Motown?

Steve…whenever the Motown media is stuck for something to chatter about, they rehash Jimmy’s murder…yet again.
