Auto-track set to "Never" not working

Every thread I enter is set to Track even though my Preferences have that set to “Never.”

Hi @Hawkwin,

Not sure, but if you are tracking the Category, you will have Tracking set when you read a thread in that category.

Ahh, that is probably it and I assume no way to turn off that feature? Reading a thread should not necessarily mean we want to continue to read it or have it populate to Unread.

No.

If I want to see all the posting on ‘Retirement Investing’, I “Track” that category so I will be notified of all post on any thread in the category.

When a thread becomes “uninteresting” I find the Bell on the right side or at the bottom and change Tracking to Mute.

Then it is gone …
