I seem to be forever running into people who think football coaches are overpaid.
But why would you hire an inexperienced beginner? To save money? Few would consider that.
Good people are worth what you pay them. And by the way, how do you get someone with a good reputation to leave a good job to come to work for a problem company? Maybe they are bored. Want new challenges. Or see opportunity for advancement.
Cheap is not in the running.
