Curious timing
Why do you consider it “curious timing”? The split was in the works before the lawsuits and price drop.
I’ll have to admit that I did think 4:1 was kind of a high split ratio for even a $140 stock. Maybe their thinking was the price could go up fairly fast with the H&R Block deal concluding? How things have changed though. There are lots of questions to be resolved.

The split was in the works before the lawsuits and price drop.
I should have explained further to say that the split was an item on the last proxy vote. I don’t recall the date on that but it was before the lawsuit.

Ah, yes you are correct. I had forgotten about that as I really don’t pay much attention to splits since they dont really change anything
