Buswells

I am sitting this morning in Buswells in the center of Dublin. Arrived in Ireland yesterday for a family event. The weather is like Maine nice cool breezes.

I need advice, is there a free VPN for a windows 11 laptop? I do not want a subscription.

I have something interesting. The websites I usually haunt are either .ie or UK.

The headlines are interesting. Bloomberg services are very careful or meticulously aimed at the target audiences.

This is my first day in Dublin. For security reasons I took the electronic wallets off my laptop.

I doubt there is a good VPN for free to use on a laptop. Or I am buried under the ads for VPNs and can not google successfully for one.

Buswells is downtown Dublin. I saw the National Museum, Archeology and then the WBY exhibit at the National Library of Ireland. The hotel is right next to each of them.

The real events are my family gathers and the 60th wedding anniversary party.

Seeing as you’re in Ireland, and not someplace nasty (IR, RU, CN, etc.), you shouldn’t have any difficulty downloading and getting connected to the TOR network. https://www.torproject.org/ It may run a little slow depending on which bridges form your circuit, but the functionality is there. The “Help with this STUPID computer!” board (https://discussion.fool.com/help-with-this-stupid-computer-11290…) is also still active, so there may be additional ideas there.

mmmsss,

What was it the Brave browser? LOL The dark web…

I would not want to sully my reputation. Seriously there are other timewasters involved in going there.

I just want to surf the web. Instead the hotel lobby and room is safe.

When I am out with family or exploring on my own I wont be with my laptop. If there would have been a one or two hour period to travel with my laptop to a coffee shop I will skip taking the laptop.

I plan to see the coffee shops just north of the river off O’Connell Street.
