Chevron {CVX} is starting to talk to retail investors in a brand new way
Chevron is hosting its first digital Q&A with retail investors on Thursday.
More companies are engaging with retail shareholders as digital communications platforms from companies including Broadridge Financial Solutions and Robinhood make it easier to identify retail investors and achieve cost-effective ways to reach them at scale.
While direct outreach to retail stockholders has been more common for younger companies with consumer-facing and digital-first businesses, like Tesla, Coinbase, Affirm and 23andMe, Chevron joins U.S. Steel and Howard Hughes Corporation among traditional firms increasing retail outreach.
