Not really. The Syrian groups unite against a perceived “outside threat”. Given no immediate outside threat, they return to the traditional (eternal) “kill the other tribes so WE can take over” internal squabbling.
Actually they have to determine who controls Syria before dealing with an outside threat.
Israel has seized and fortified the Golan Heights. There is nothing the Syrians can do. They concentrate on cleaning Syria of Alawites-Assad supporters & Druze and Christians…
Israel has no desire to intervene. They will await until the killing is done then pressure can be applied to the winner.
Israel is doing the intelligent thing. While the Syrian factions are busy fighting each other, Israel is methodically destroying armaments that the Syrian winner would use to attack Israel.
