The demise of GUI

  • The most powerful organizational tool of the Graphic User Interface (GUI) is/was the Menu feature
  • Smartphones don’t have Menus
  • Websites have become iPhoned, no Menus
  • Menus were replaced by buttons scattered all over the place with no detectable rhyme or reason
  • Browsers have menus that one can add to
  • By now I have added three menu items to Safari
    1. TMF Discussions
    2. TMF My posts
    3. TMF Unread topics
