Docusign CEO on CNBC

-Docu up 19.76% today after excellent earnings and outlook yesterday.

-I can’t watch the interview b/c I’m not a Premium Member of cnbc but there is a summary from Seeking Alpha.

-CEO Dan Springer described himself as “very bullish” and estimated that the company was “well less than 10% penetrated” in its market.

-“We believe the construct about thinking about DocuSign is less about whether people are in the office or whether they are working from home,” Springer noted. Instead, Springer described the business as part of the “anywhere economy.”

High Praise form analysts

-William Blair calls the report a “massive beat out of the gate” that sets the stage for a strong year.

-Oppenheimer says the results are a “salient proof point” that DOCU is viewed as “mission critical to keep business operations flowing during the pandemic and as employees return to work.” But the company is also “a strategic technology for the new digital future of work.”

-Morgan Stanley says DOCU is “firing on all cylinders” and the report is “proof that Covid wasn’t a one-time benefit, resulting in a fundamental shift in DocuSign’s growth trajectory.”
