You can’t tell him this because he will twist himself into knots to try and make you believe corporations vote. He doesn’t understand the difference between free speech and actually voting.

They need scapegoats. Only once, a couple days ago, (and I did a double take when I heard it) have I heard TIG clearly attack “globalists”, rather than blaming all the base’s problems on POCs, women, gay and trans people.

You know steve if Trump would have attacked globalists instead of Americans he might have pulled the whole country together like Canada is doing. Trump can’t win when he has divided the country.

The American public loves a good story about our global power. We hate a story about ultimate power at home.
In light of that there is no lead up to the no vote. There is no blame us because we have discussed this at length.
If the vote is no, then the focus is on raw power. The public does not want such raw power. The rebuke will be hard and swift.
The independents in particular have bolted already.
If we were talking shop I’d be more worried we were caving. The power vacuum of us caving would be tremendous.
Don’t forget foreigners (as in: other countries) apparently conspiring against the ‚poor naive victim‘ US.

I have suspected his dalliance with the “birthers” was market research: whether an openly racist campaign could get traction in the US. Clearly, his takeaway was “yes”. So, he keeps pushing people’s bigot buttons.
