Pepsico (PEP) appears to be a bargain and is yielding over 4%.
I can’t use a single one of their products (not even water because I carry my own water bottle). Then again, I don’t smoke cigarettes and I hold MO stock.

The article says that the driverless trucks are being developed for short-haul trips. I’m surprised. I think that driverless trucks are ideal for the long-haul deliveries across the thousands of miles of perfectly straight interstate highway that run between the coasts. I’m sure they will come in time.

Wendy, the implication for long haul travel are these:
- Regen is balanced with discharge over the trip such that offline recharges are economic and timely.
- Infrastructure to support #1 is in place following the entire route.
- No single route segment is unsupported for technical(maintenance, etc.) or other non-technical business conditions.

I suspect the reason is accessibility. At least on the passenger vehicle side, driverless vehicles still get into trouble at a sufficient rate that they need a support system to help them out if they get into trouble. A lot of that can be done remotely, but there still are scenarios where you just have to send a person IRL out to the vehicle to help it out.
So at least at current levels of autonomy, it makes some sense that they’re not using it for long-haul service. You want your trucks not to go too far from home base, in case they run into something they need in-person help with.

Cool. Their website is very weird and when you get to stuff that explains their products it appears to be in an archive folder based on the URL. Strangeness.
Maybe. Maybe not. There are those who say that the increased use of GLP-1 drugs may destroy their core business. I don’t know.
