Probably because of all the testing for the H5N1 virus that has been killing chickens. So the tests at one chicken farm discovered the H7N9 strain.

Last saturday, after seeing Costco’s empty egg area, we stopped by our local restaurant distributor… $6.50 a flat, dozens & 18 packs were higher, but many choices, as here, white, brown, etc… Northern Calif, local producers, no problem…
