ENPH opens 1st of up to 6 US assembly lines

“…Microinverter supplier Enphase Energy has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Columbia, South Carolina in partnership with international manufacturing company Flex. It is the first of up to six planned US facilities, Enphase has said…”

Personally, I’m very pleased to see this as I had concerns re: ENPH exclusive reliance on third party manufacturing facilities outside the US. My greatest concerns were related to the third-party manufacturing facilities in China, given the current unrest with China related to Taiwan.

On page 44 of ENPH’s most recent annual report the company states:

“We rely on third-party manufacturing facilities, including for all product assembly and final testing of our products, which are performed at third-party manufacturing facilities, in China, Mexico and India.”
