Expect inflation to go up over 4%

Inflation is absolutely coming, they are admitting it openly. And their policies are causing it. However, unlike being outraged over inflation under Biden (caused by the world coming out of a global pandemic, with inflation all over the world not just here, with inflation here being lower and shorter than anywhere else - thanks Joe, job seriously well done). We should simply not expect prices to be low anymore. It is no longer our right as Americans to have cheap prices. Heck, they are this close to saying that paying higher prices is patriotic.

Ah, the golden age. Can you feel it?

We can say “remember the start of the golden age?”

The age when I shifted my asset allocation to 60/40 cash/gold, planted a victory garden, and chain-linked my aging autos to protect them from parts theft?

When we finally, after months of exciting pauses, got that flat (sales) tax to lift up the working class?

Maybe the golden age just starts a little rocky, low oxygen, like us deep in a mine, scraping the ore up with our knuckles, the exhilaration of the dust in our lungs, the excitement of a cave-in, our spirits lifted by the hours of darkness.

But at least we have each other. Except for the 50% that would rather do without the other 50%.

Why are we so easily divided against each other?

Fun fact: Divided is the same as Dividend except no letter n.

I need a limerick. Where are you @eldemonio? Do you have a bat/demon-signal?

So what does he mean? Inflation will up to 4.1% or 4.2% Inflation will up to about 6.7% which is 4% more than it is now (or has been recently last I heard)? Or will it go up to 2.8% which is 4% more than it is now? (give or take) And why is 4% inflation (if that’s what he’s talking about) such a a big deal?

Because it is higher than the Fed mandate so no more cuts and it could mean more raises in the interest rate which could bring everything down.

What does that mean? “could” “everything” “down”? Sounds like “designated hand-wringing” over things that have happened and will happen again. I understand the raised concern. I’m not saying it’s nothing and everything’s the same. But where is the catastrophe?

I am not sure what you are asking because I do not think you even understood the Video that was posted.

I think it’s like the weakness in the Death Star as explained in the movie Rogue One.

K2SO says “One blast to the reactor module and the whole system goes down. That’s how you said it. The whole system goes down.”

Yes, you’re definitely missing the point, but I learned something.

So did I but unfortunately not from anything you have added to the conversation.

@mostlylong - I’m tired and burned out, but I’ll try.

We can’t stand, divided we’re falling,
Half of us desparately calling,
“Wake up you damn fools,
You’re acting like tools,
Supporting this crap is appalling!”

There once was a man who was lootin’
His country, there was no disputin’
Those who took him to court
Always came up too short
So he kept root a toot tootin for Putin

Nope.

Most people across the country and across the world want the same basic things: life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for themselves, their family, and, importantly, their communities.

After all, what good is prosperity if it cannot be shared?

I personally don’t care to sit alone on a pile of gold.

Let’s find common ground.

I see from your posts over the years that you pay attention to the investment world.

What are your best suggestions for investments in these times?

I know you have been a fan of S&P 500, and I certainly am invested in that one.

Other suggestions?

So you are projecting your own words onto others? What are you a child?

I am accumulating CROX and TMDX leaps.

Will swing big if TSLA comes down around ~$200 level. I fear the rampant Musk hate will end up costing Elon his life. Cutting $1T in spending angers a lot of corrupt politicians and syndicates. This is something to be aware of risk when buying TSLA.

This is to rich. The same guy who tells Democrats to leave the country and supports a President who says to shoot migrants in the legs is the same guy who supports an illegal taking jobs from Americans and staying in the country. The hypocrisy is
