Presumably due to less and less disposable income:
Here in the UK I go to a fast food outlet about once every ten years or so. I went this year and was astonished at the high prices being charged. No wonder demand is falling.

Try this on for size: more old people. I get “senior” drinks free or heavily discounted at Wendy’s, Arby’s and BK. So the drill is a sandwich, and drink, no fries. I usually don’t do fries unless I have a coupon for bux off a complete meal.
