Except for fire extinguishers, safety systems such as smoke detectors, sprinklers and fire hydrants were faulty

Smoke detectors, sprinklers, AND fire hydrants were faulty?

The corruption in India is one reason they will not get ahead any time soon. If I was an Apple supplier in Vietnam (or elsewhere) I would be in Tim Cook’s office tomorrow pounding the table telling him why my country is a better investment than India. (Yes, the loss is “only” $12m, which is lunch money to Apple, but as they grow their presence there could be some significant risk.)

Oh good, they had some hand held fire extinguishers that were working. Not well enough to do any good, but…
