If you’re sick enough to be placed into a rehab or nursing home you’re too sick to take care of yourself at home.
I refused to go home from the hospital until I was strong enough to walk without support around the hospital corridor. Even then, I had DH and my sister to take care of me at home. Plus I had frozen food before I went into the hospital.
