The plural of anecdote is not data.
That is the problem with ZIOP at this point- a single arm study is not a study. 17 patients across 3 doses and not compared to placebo is not a study. They are anecdotal evidence, which is easily mistaken for actual evidence.
I wish ZIOP well, and their approach is intriguing (even though it failed in breast cancer and melanoma), but they need to run a real trial.
