The US is in the process of imposing targeted economic sanctions against 300 members of the Russian Duma, the nation’s lower house of legislators. Unfortunately, economic sanctions tend to anger and inflame more than they actually change behaviors.
On the other hand, knowing one is facing trial for participating in war crimes against humanity may cause members of the military to seek a way to cease their war on women, children, old people, patients, and disabled civilians in Ukrainian cities.
The names of the generals must be identified and published around the world so they cannot hide from responsibility for committing war crimes on behalf of Vladimir Putin, the War Criminal-in Chief.

So far, there is no mention of the specific individuals who will be tried for the war crimes being documented. Obviously, Vladimir Putin will be charged. The names of the generals should be published immediately as targets of the investigation.
If Europe and the civilized nations are serious about ending Russia’s war against Ukraine’s civilians, they must drive a wedge between Putin and his generals on the battlefield. Already, it is reported that Russian soldiers are walking off the job in Ukraine. It’s time that Putin’s generals did the same.

The International Criminal Court needs to name the generals who are on the battlefield. Intelligence sources and the Russian soldiers can provide prosecutors with the names of the generals. The generals’ names should be published and announced as perpetrators of war crimes.
If necessary, soldiers can provide the names of some of their individual Russian soldier colleagues so that the International Criminal Court can put the fear of justice into the hearts of the generals and the pawns who are doing Putin’s bidding.
The only way to stop this targeting of hospitals, schools, children’s homes, asylums, and civilian shelters is to make it clear to every person involved in the chain of command that they will be facing Nuremberg trials of their own if they don’t lay down their arms and walk away from this unjust invasion.
Give them a date certain by which to stop and then initiate prosecution of generals and soldiers who fail to walk off the job.
