If they have not yet found the gun, how do they know it was purchased in Connecticut? And when?

That kind of gun is probably serviceable for decades. Likely to be found in estate sales and pawn shops. Do they have serial numbers?

Silencer might be traceable. And 9mm means not an antique.

The reality at the moment is: We can’t really trust anything they say. It is impossible to tell facts from what they’re just saying because they think it might help the investigation. And I mean that in the benign sense. They’re not trying to “cover up” or flip off The Public. They’re playing the information stream trying to force a break. Remember the beltway sniper? Stopped white vans all over 2 States and D.C. for a week but all along they were looking for a blue sedan I think it was.

It’s a very rare gun. They were just saying that they have a record of that type of gun being purchased in Connecticut the week before. I suspect they’ll investigate the purchaser to see where the gun is and if it’s been fired.

The silencer is built into the gun.

A few more questions.

  1. What did he have in the backpack? You would think the gun, a change of clothes, toiletries. They found pants and Monopoly money. Did it contain another back pack or suitcase to disguise his identity?

Photo of him riding bicycle does not show back pack.

  1. Could the backpack found be a decoy to confuse issue of his connection with it?

  2. What happened to the electric bicycle. Was it a rental? Id required? Or did he arrange to get it stolen? Where did he get it?

  3. Did his taxi ride to the bus terminal include luggage or a backpack?
