How can you tell in a negotiation if the status quo is sought after

I think China wants the status quo. That would be horrible news for us.
I think the big orange comes up all net today.

Why? Read on into this very simple statement.

A question heading into the talks is perhaps what the Chinese side — who have publicly said little beyond acknowledging that progress has been made — may demand in return for their apparent openness to compromise.

This is like some Good Fellas movie where the people who are most threatening simply say it is too late now.

We are so militarily whacky right now…it is moral to stop us.

Besides the Chinese have a Great Depression pretty much right now. Why are they supposed to bail us out before our Great Depression? It does not work that way.

Xi will learn a few words in English, “You nuts”. And then he will walk out the door with, “Frankly my dear I don’t give a damn”.

He might be a big Hollywood movie fan.

In one move he ends Trump’s constant Tariff War. It becomes ruinous.

Xi is sailing a huge ship for years now. He will shut this down.

For Xi in China this will be by far the most popular thing he ever does. This one goes down in the history books. Doing anything else does nothing for China.

If Xi meets Trump half way, then this nonsense is on repeat till Xi does not meet Trump half way. There is no point. Xi might as well stop the entire process now.

Today becomes known as “The Beggar’s Ballroom”.
