I really miss my BOFI position. I guess I had fallen a little in love with it, you know: it was one of my favorite positions and I idealized it and had great hopes for its future. Now it’s like an empty space in my portfolio. Even if I eventually decide things aren’t as bad as they seem, and I buy some back, it will never be the same.
I think that’s what happens to lots of people. They take a position they like, really like, and then fall in love with it. This makes them reluctant to see risk in the company and to take appropriate steps to deal with the possible change in their investment. It happens to me too.
Best to you all, and for the sake of those of you who are still in BOFI, I hope this all blows over.
