I would like to ignore a poster. Typically, I do that by going to a poster’s profile. Unfortunately this particular poster has hidden his public profile But doing that also hides the options to ignore the poster. Any chance this shortcoming could be addressed?
Go to your Profile → Preferences → Users —> +Add (select the poster’s alias you want to ignore)
Doesn’t matter if the poster’s profile is hidden, just add like that. Unfortunately, though, one of quirks is that sometimes the ignored poster shows as an “unread” post or prevents the unread signal from disappearing.

God, I hate this platform. You give words, but I only see icons. After looking and poking around and trying every icon two or three times, I finally found it. Thank you.
I still think that hiding your profile shouldn’t hide the ignore poster function, forcing you to dig multiple levels into your own profile to access something that is just a couple clicks away in an unhidden profile.

Yes, I agree that it is much more difficult thay it needs to be. You should be able to click (or right click) on the poster and select ignore. I suppose that would have been just too easy…
