IPOs On The Way

More to come on this thread but.In terms of investing. I will almost 100% purchase Zoom and Pager duty. Will probably purchase Slack and won’t purchase Uber or Lyft unless they get crushed. Probably never Uber…too big, but maybe someday Lyft.

IPOs I’m very interested in.

Thanks. I have never purchased an IPO before but I am also considering Pager Duty.

Is there a timing strategy to purchase? Do you purchase the same day of the offering?

Thanks again.

I don’t have any type of strategy. I intend to invest 3-5% in each so I’ll probably do half of what I plan to invest the day it opens and half a month later or something.

No idea how that will work. I just think in 5-10 years they will be much larger companies so I’d hate to miss out because it jumped big on day 1.

Thanks!

Zoom, ZM.

May have most the impressive IPO numbers I’ve seen since SHOP.

Q4 FY 2019 ended Jan 31, 2019.

ZM- $105.8M Growth 108%

SHOP Quarter before going public ended March 31, 2015

SHOP - $37.4M growth of 99%

Ok, so maybe it’s much better than SHOP. Are there better examples? Anybody know of an IPO that’s come out in last few years that’s better?

Lyft at 103% yoy growth and a dirt cheap P/S of 10 too…

What’s the best way to get in on an IPO. Do you place a market order?

Thanks
JT

Sorry if my question is off topic.

I have no idea how to get the IPO, but most definitely, do not place a market order. It could open 3x the offering price, you could buy the stock, and it could fall in half the first day. No way I would use a market order right after it opens for trading.

Depending on your broker, you might be able to buy in to the IPO itself.

I heard to watch for it to drop several hours after opening day.
But don’t listen to me, I am the guy who buys before the dip.

AirBnB anyone?

Sorry guys, talking about the IPO’s, and their value as investment, is fine - but this is turning into a lot of silly little posts about market timing in terms of HOW MANY HOURS AFTER AN IPO to put in your order. That’s way OFF-TOPIC and let’s drop it.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Saul

OK, i think this is my first post to this board. I read the last years post from this board, not on a regular basis.
But, may you tell the other board members the rationals behind your interest in these coming IPO’s

This may be a silly question but how do you find the exact date of an IPO? Even for Lyft I can only find that it’s supposed to IPO some time this week.

Someone shared this a while back and it seems to help:

Also shows recent IPOs:

Doesn’t give you all the info you’d like (like Market Cap), but it is helpful.
