Iran Downblending Its Uranium

Iran had offered to downblend its uranium enriched at the 60% level before the war

The 14-point US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding, which US officials detailed to reporters on Wednesday, says that under the potential deal, Iran’s enriched uranium will be downblended “on site,” as the US has backed off on its demand to take it out of the country.

The MoU states that the “have agreed to resolve the disposition of stockpiled enriched material pursuant to a mechanism that will be mutually agreed upon in accordance with the schedule mentioned in paragraph seven with the minimum methodology to be down-blending on site under the supervision of the [International Atomic Energy Agency].”

Iran had offered to downblend its uranium enriched at the 60% level before the US launched the war, something Oman’s foreign minister, who was mediating US-Iran negotiations, told US media the day before the first US-Israeli strikes hit Iran.

“There is agreement now that this will be downblended to the lowest level possible. And converted into fuel and that fuel will be irreversible. … I think we have agreement on that in my view,” Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi said on “Face the Nation” on February 27, 2026.

Could Iranian cheat and secretly enrich some uranium? Yes. And I believe they will. They saw what happened to Gadedfi when he no nukes to prevent NATO attack.
Americans cannot be trusted: South Vietnam, Montagnards, Hungary, Kurds, American indigenous people.
It has been a long time since Americans trusted the US government:

That’s so weird, since I have been assured that it’s been obliterated, destroyed, inaccessible, annihilated, eradicated, demolished, wiped out, wrecked, ruined, made useless, unreachable, unattainable, or otherwise put out of reach.

Didn’t this happen when we won the war the first 39 times?

Other things JTT said recently -

“It’s actually not valuable, but we’d like to get it psychologically,”

“Nobody’s touching it. We also have Space Force cameras”

“If somebody walks in and he’s got a badge with his name on it — like Mohammed something, which is about a 50-50 guess, (the Space Force cameras) can tell the name and serial number,”

“It’s not important that we do it quickly, but we could do it fairly quickly when we have a chance,”

“If it works out, I’m going to take the credit. If it doesn’t work out, I’m blaming JD,”

More importantly, the regime saw what happened to their last leader as they got closer to an atomic weapon.

We are not sending our military in while the BRICs has China to supply Iran. But China may change its mind about supporting Iran. It costs money to waste time with them.

The prez has reported Iran uranium will be “destroyed.” But we know uranium is an element. It must be somewhere. It can’t be destroyed. Yes, it can be down blended to fuel grade.

The prez seems to have not done so well in science class.

Re: Iran cheating.

I like the Eisenhower approach. Trust but verify. Routine inspections will be required. Of course in a large country certainty is hard to achieve.

He was too spoiled to study. God bless the fool.

Or English, math, social studies…

The nuclear issue is no longer the main focus, avoiding economic catastrophe trumps all other concerns now.

Everyone is coming up with excuses and reasons. All of them apply equally.

He’s a massive mess. But so is Tehran. Russia? Worse. China? Promises promises, wait till they start paying the “insurance fees”.

The BRICs should we start a pool for when Iran and China fall out? The gold standard? A new currency? Ha! Don’t make us laugh, brics.
