For crying out loud Leap. India, Israel and Pakistan all have nukes. Should any of them have nukes? We have shown over and over again that if you have nukes the odds of us being aggressive against you go down substantially. Literally making it logical that Iran would want those weapons if for no other reason. Funny how we had diplomacy, it was working, until the “deal maker wunderkid” tore all that up. Any evidence that they were near a bomb is pure fabrication. This is WMD’s all over again.
We are no longer a good faith nation.
The entire world would be better off without nukes. Heck, the entire world would be better off without religion and the whole “my great sky wizard is better than yours”.

With a little more study we have a problem. If Iran gets them SA is very competitive with them. SA will insist. They are on each other constantly. That is why Iran has been doing what it does across the Arab lands.
The USA and USSR were not going to colonize each other because we were too big and distant. So we never fought.
SA and Iran have been fighting for ages.
If a few bombs go off you will want to end your own life. We all will. We might get a month to live on this side of the planet.
Going to have to take that seriously.
Pakistan and India use nuclear threats. It is not something to brush off.

The problem is that religious fanatics do have other reasons, like bringing on the end of times! Are terrorists working in the same mind-frame as normal people?

No. Diplomacy was working but somebody decided to throw it away because it wasn’t his idea. This is WMD Round Two. And it is every bit as fabricated now as it was back then. This is nothing but a distraction from that which must not (apparently) be named.

I’d venture the “Diplomacy only” voters would say that no matter who was in office or what happens next.
The rest of you do not trust TFG, but would at some point go to war. Even if delayed, you do not have faith in diplomacy, at least with Tehran, and know war is the end result.
