Looking at Greyscale Ethereum Trust (ETHE).

When reading the following keep in mind that although this portfolio has now grown to be more than 99% of what we will live on in retirement, this portfolio is what is in our non-taxable Roth and Rollover IRAs only. We have not added any money to these accounts for many years. To buy something I’ve sold something else. I don’t trade options or use any leverage. I stay fully invested at all times and keep less than 1% in cash.
—————-
What I did and why during the month of October 2021.

10/1/21
Sold more CRWD - to buy Zs and Monday.
I re-read my September portfolio summary and convinced myself these changes needed to be made based on that reasoning.
10/4/21
Sold more Crowdstrike to add to Lightspeed. Convinced more than ever Lightspeed drop based on FUD.

10/14/21
And….
In the first two weeks of October my total portfolio amount in dollars increased 17%!!!
IMO, staying fully invested is better than trying to time the market twice, once to get out and a second time to get back in. Thanks Saul.

10/15/21
I trimmed Upstart when it got back to 30% of my portfolio this Friday. I added a little to Monday (now 9.27%) on their 4% pullback on no news and added some back to Snowflake (now 8.25%).

IMO, Snowflake will maintain near 100% growth endurance for the foreseeable future.

10/18/21
Trimmed DDOG and NET to add some back to CRWD.
With the new Crowdstrike XDR Alliance, Crowdstrike is attempting to create ‘The Standard’ for interoperability between security solutions, specifically threat intelligence. I should have listened to BroadwayDan When he said, Kurtz is not the kind of guy would go down without a fight’. I believe I was premature in my thinking Cloudflare or anyone else might disrupt Crowdstrike. Also big thanks to UMASSHoops here and Muji via his Premium Sevice.

10/26/21
I was thinking about selling some DDOG to buy more SNOW. IMO, Snowflake has a Strong Network Effect. Datadog has merely first mover, albeit with some AI/ML properties. But, then I saw Upstart drop to $315 on FUD, so I trimmed DDOG but added to Upstart instead. I’m thinking I’ll Sell what I added to UPST and put it in SNOW when Upstart becomes more than 30% again. Yes I’m pretty confident in Upstart.

Heartfelt thanks to Saul’s Investing Discussions and for those following the rules of this great Board! I’m proud to be one in a group of individuals who’ve come together with this as an agreed upon goal.
Special thanks to all the Board Managers for insisting on these rules and to Saul specifically for his seemingly tireless efforts in making this, without any doubt in my mind, the best place to discuss Hyper-Growth companies.

Cheers,

Jason
