You’ve talked about the definition of DEI without really describing what it is, and what it isn’t. It seems like you don’t know.

This is the heart of the matter in this thread.

Vague yet absolute categories.

Marxist!
Communism!
Socialism!

DEI!

These are large, broad categories.

To have a meaningful discussion, pick a specific, well-defined policy.

For example, for Medicare, we found some points of agreement:

opportunity for the US people to take back some of that 2x cost, which is a silly and excessive 18% of GDP, much higher than peer countries, and get more value for our money.

I agree with you. We don’t take advantage of competitive forces in free market economies that would drive down costs. We also don’t fully take advantage of single payer systems that spread the costs over a broader insurable population.

And guess what?

There are elements of several categories in our points of agreement: free market and socialism, to name two.
