Lean and mean portfolio

Hi all,

I've been working this year to winnow down my 35 holdings to a mean,
lean, under 20, mostly 1YPEG portfolio. I achieved that and now hold
18 companies.

I had a small basket of biotechs that I have sold down since January.
My remaining (and firmly held) biotechs are GILD and CELG. Also, I
will never sell my many years' held SBUX, AAPL, AMZN, NFLX, and CMG
positions. The rest are mostly newer positions gleaned from this
board. I have held BOFI and AMBA for more than a year and before I
started hanging out on this board. I had never heard of, or held,
SKX, SWKS, INFN, INBK, ABMD, SEDG or ANET until this board.

I feel very good about my portfolio now. I have 10% cash I am
holding until the next pullback, which I think will happen sometime
before the end of the year. On the other hand, I might decide to
add to one or more of my companies if their earnings come in strong
and the price starts to head up.

Thanks everyone for all of your input. Especially you, Saul. I am
grinding my own numbers regularly now and feel more comfortable than
ever with my reasons for holding my chosen companies.

Happy Saturday!

Vivienne

Awesome! I had over 65 stocks last spring and have whittled them down to 28. I still have DIS, Z, PCLN, MIDD, GOOG, ISIS along with NFLX, AAPL, SBUX, AMZN, and CMG but have sold MELI, BIDU, LNKD, MA, CGNX, HAS, TWTR, UA, and SWIR along with SAM, IMAX, PRLB, ISRG, LGF, MNST, WFM, DDD, and SSYS and others. I am very happy with this size and want to get to under 25 stocks but I am keeping the majority of what I have now. This has been, and is, a great board on which to learn how to do your own thing. I am shifting toward less expensive high growth stocks.I sleep much better
at night!
