Lennar (LEN) split-off exchange offer

The shares I bought on my wife’s e*trade account, I didn’t submit yesterday, and trying to submit it today, waiting on the phone :(, wondering whether I should just sell the stock and pocket the difference… the $LEN has moved up 4.5% today…

The cutoff for submission is y’day!!!. Closed the position…

on IBKR bought 4 ($30 Put and sold $30 call) for net credit of $.52, this locks in around $900 gain. Note, I have ability to sell naked calls in IBKR. If you are trying to replicate this trade. There is that risk of something going wrong with the submission

Further details: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/lennar-announces-preliminary-results-exchange-130000260.html

Important for us (or at least me): “Stockholders who owned fewer than 100 shares of Lennar Class A common stock, or an “odd-lot,” who have validly tendered all of their shares, will not be subject to proration, in accordance with the terms of the Exchange Offer.”

Yes, over weekend it was showing some fractional shares and now I see only 409. I assume the fractional are paid at some rates…

Thanks for the idea. Greatly appreciate you sharing them.

Looks like fractional shares were settled by IBKR at $30.18, I see them as sales! Great.

You’re very welcome, Kingran!

I think we may see something similar from Western Digital, since it did a partial spinoff of Sandisk right around the time that Lennar did its spinoff (Feb 2025). That said, WDC has been on a nice run this year, so maybe they’re not interested in buying their own stocks at these prices through a split-off exchange.

Best,

Jim
