Don’t need no teeth to eat that ‘beef’!
McD’s is gross. Compare one of their burgers to something like Five Guys. Their fries are OK. 1poorlady likes checking out McD’s overseas when we travel because sometimes they have unique items (e.g. in Paris). But locally, haven’t been in McD’s for a long time.
Somehow they manage to deliver rubbish-food and still be one of the biggest restaurant chains on the planet.

Haven’t been since they stopped using beef tallow to fry them (health concern, I guess). Wendy’s has taken the crown for “better fries”, although they’re too small to do anything with it, apparently.
McDonald’s is a fascinating story. Before they had competition, they were the best in fast burgers (duh). Burger King trumped them with the Whopper, but not enough. Wendy’s trumped them with “never frozen” but it still wasn’t enough. McDonald’s keeps winning, and I was an investor some years ago, but not anymore (no investing comment here, just got tired of it.)
