Medicare part II

Looking up average retail prices for my two Tier 4 drugs shows an average retail price in the neighborhood of $7,300 for a 90 day supply. I’m ok with my Plan D price of only $720 after the deductible has been met.

I was 69 yo when I developed this disease. And I am very happy I signed up for a Plan D back when I went on Medicare.

This has been an interesting discussion of health care costs and, more specifically, about prescription costs.

Have any of you served in the U.S Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, or Navy? If so, it might be worthwhile to investigate and register with the Veterans Affairs Health Care System.

I am a Vietnam War Era veteran with a service-connected disability and in the VA’s Priority Group 1. I receive medical care and prescription drugs from the VA at no cost to me. I maintain Medicare Part B coverage to cover medical emergencies.

The above articles cover the definition and eligibility for VA health care. And, the cost of health care depending upon one’s eligibility group.

Yes. Four years worth. I’ve never used the VA. I’ve always felt the VA was for guys that really needed medical care and couldn’t afford it. Over the years several acquaintances and golf buddies have suggested I use it but I just feel like there are other guys that need it more than I do.
