I saw that Moderna Therapeutics is supposed to have its IPO the first week of December.
The usually conservative Wall Street Journal had an article this Biotech was failrly valued at $7.5 billion. It’s on track to be the biggest IPO of all time.
So I began looking into it and found they have 21 programs in the pipeline, the furthest just began phase ii.
What I am finding is a secretive company very early in its progress with many large partnerships with many large pharmaceutical companies, such as Merck, astra Zeneca and vertex. They are also secretive and not willing to share their trial results to prevent competition from knowing what they are doing.
They also seem to be burning around $400+ million cash a year.
