If you are curious about the new product lineup from Infinera and looking for a slightly more laymen’s summary I found a great article on Light Reading that does a decent job describing the differences between the new Metro products (which are PIC-based) and the refreshed Transmode portfolio (which are not PIC-based). It also does a great job describing where one would be used instead of the other.
