Mr. Market is fickle

Three of my holdings reported in the last 24 hours. Going into today, I was confident and optimistic about INFN and IPGP’s prospects, but worried about BOFI. Now this is shaping up to be one of my worst one-day haircuts since the great recession, thanks to INFN and IPGP, while BOFI has done well. Cripes.

Ha! I’m in the same boat. Though I really didn’t expect much from INFN or IPGP, I sure didn’t expect this kind of of a haircut. That said, I’ve have a couple of pleasant surprises - CNC being one yesterday - so some consolation.

As far as moving forward, while I think INFN and IPGP are both good companies and have a bright future, I’ve decided to sell in a day or two after which time I hope there’s a been a little bit of a rebound. I’ll then reinvest in what I believe to be high-growth companies facing fewer headwinds in the near term (e.g., SKX, ABMD).

Cheers,

I was wondering where that gem was from

The difference is that what Einstein didn’t know was knowable. Can’t say the same for Mr. Market.
