{{ Saving for retirement has been a cornerstone of personal finance for well over a century. It could become pointless soon, Elon Musk says.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO predicted AI would help create an “abundance” of resources for all.

People would have “whatever stuff they want” and access to superb healthcare and education, he said. }}

Basically, everyone can have a superyacht if they like. The only constraint will be if the ocean is large enough to moor them all. {{ LOL }}

No, the only restraint on unlimited abundance and “enough for everybody” will be making people pay for it. Poof! Instant shortage. No money? No infinite stuff for YOU. get a job ya parasite. Or better yet, get a wealthy family.

2019
2020
2021
2022
2023
2024
2025
2026

We will have Cybercabs in half the country by the end of 2025..

We will fly people around the moon by 2018

The Optimus robot will be in mass production by 2025

The hyperloop will become a major mass transit system

Neuralink will be implanted in human skull by 2020

We will have one million Robotaxis by 2020

A Tesla will be able to drive coast to coast without human intervention by 2017

You will be able to sleep while driving by 2019

Hyperloop will provide New York to Boston transportation soon.

We will have zero new Covid cases in the US by the end of 2020

I can save trillions of dollars from the US budget

_And now! For your listening an d dancing pleasure!_

You won’t need to save for retirement because people will have everything they want.

I feel like the little boy who says “But the emperor has no clothes on!” And everybody else says “Ah, such regal finery. May I buy some more of your stock, please?”

Valerie Solanas basically said the same thing in her S.C.U.M manifesto in 1967.

Who is going to be the first to tell him that the actual distributing of the “resources for all” will require some form of socialism?

This is exactly why this whole UBI thing is utter nonsense. Or, more precisely, is their way of getting “us” to buy into all of this scam. Rich people whom today do not want to compensate employees to a livable wage when they are reaping rewards from their labor are just going to suddenly start giving EVERYONE EVERYTHING they need and desire when they are not even employees any more? Dream on. Wake up.

Actually, no.

The Tech Bros understand that you need people flush enough to buy their products. Walmart doesn’t think it’s “socialism” when a SNAP recipient pays for their groceries with the SNAP debit card – the money is still green to them.

Even rabidly anti-union Henry Ford understood that workers need to earn enough to buy his Model T automobiles, if he is to be successful.
