$NFLX Now 52% Female & Racially Diverse

As of last year, more than half of the Los Gatos company’s global workforce and more than half of its leadership was female, the company said in the report released Thursday. Meanwhile nearly 11% of its US workforce is Black and about 9% is Hispanic or Latinx — proportions that are significantly higher than those at many other tech companies.

All those figures rose significantly in 2021 from the year before, according to Netflix’s report. The company became more diverse even as it increased its global workforce by 25% last year.

“We’re committed to doing our part in inspiring change within our industries — so more people can feel seen, heard, and supported to contribute at their best,” Verna Myers, Netflix’s vice president of inclusion strategy, said in the report.
