ralph personally thinks that if Novak passed rigorous covid testing, every day, maybe even 2x or 3x per day, then let him play!
Since every other player in the tournament had to be vaccinated or couldn’t play … I completely disagree! Letting him make his own rules would also add cred to other anti-vaxxers who could point to him as an example as to why they shouldn’t have to follow public health guidelines either?
Send him home with a do not return stamp on his passport.
a very temperamental person with an inflated view of their own talent or importance
Isn’t the world FULL of prima donna folks who are at the top of their game who are ‘temperamental’?
The world is awash with examples in boxing, baseball, football, golf, ad infinitum… I don’t think that this incident makes this guy a pariah.

If the availability of COVID tests wasn’t a problem, then (maybe) I’d agree with you.
But they are in short supply.
And, reportedly, he lied about his recent travel.
The rules were made and were clear.
He thought he should get special treatment…send him home.
But first make him stand in a line of 500 people waiting to get tests to allow him on a plane.
